Engineered to deliver continuous 80 kW of rated power, each unit enables a powerful, scalable propulsion architecture—allowing an eight-motor octocopter to generate up to 640 kW, comparable to the lift capability of a mid-size helicopter. Air-Cooled Drone Propulsion Designed for Extreme Performance
Unlike typical drone motors that rely on compact liquid-cooling loops, Pixy’s air-cooled PMSM architecture eliminates the need for cumbersome pumps, radiators, hoses, and coolant. This dramatically reduces weight, complexity, and failure points—making it ideal for high-altitude, long-endurance drone operations.
Air-cooling also enables fast turnaround between flights and ensures consistent thermal stability even during extended hovering, payload lift, or high-thrust maneuvers.

Pixy’s motor housing is engineered as a load-bearing structural member of the drone. Instead of merely “mounting” a motor, the drone designer can integrate our power unit directly into the airframe—with the housing itself forming part of the structural skeleton.
